WAC Testing

WAC stands for Waste Acceptance Criteria and determines whether the soil can be accepted at particular disposal points.

Carrying out a test provides us with more information about how the material will act once disposed of. The test incorporates two parts – solids analysis and leachate analysis.

Solids analysis determines how organic the material is and tests for key contaminants while leachate analysis determines the level of contamination that will potentially leach out of the material once disposed of potentially impacting ground or surface water.

We would recommend that a full WAC suite analysis is completed for your project as this covers the testing required for all three types including inert, hazardous and stable non-hazardous.
